Jeff Sim is a different sort of model than the models that you are likely familiar with. Jeff is a body painted model, meaning that the type of modeling work that he is hired for requires him to be painted up by a body painter.
Jeff specializes at doing human statue modeling for parties and events and galas which requires him to be body painted for every job. Jeff has been commissioned to be body painted to look like other thingsthan just human statues like a Roman warrior, a Byzantine warrior and numerous superheroes, as you can see in the photos.
Jeff is an easy going, Asian bodybuilder, experienced in physique and online catalog modeling. Jeff travels regularly to NYC, Miami, San Francisco and LA on a regular basis.
American Body Painting Master Artist Pashur is someone worth knowing about, that is if you have not heard about him already. It is quite likely that you or someone that you know has seen Pashur’s work on Television or in a magazine or at some event but you just don’t know it. Pashur’s work can be seen on MTV’s VGA Awards as you can see in the photo with Samuel L. Jackson. If you have ever been invited to the legendary Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, California, you may have seen his work there as well.
Pashur began his career around 1990 in Opryland USA, where he began drawing caricatures at Opryland USA theme par, and after a few summers there ended up breaking several drawing/sales records. Over the next ten years Pashur was involved in many different fascinating projects and one of them happened to be body painting. In 2000, Pashur moved to sunny Orlando, Florida, where there existed more opportunities and better weather. Pashur’s skill as an artist and and as a body painter grew project by project and this led to him body painting models for celebrity projects like for rapper, Jay Z’s 40/40 Club for example.
Here is a clip of actor Samuel L. Jackson bringing out 9 of my body painted models onto the stage of the Spike TV Video Game Awards. http://www.spike.com/video/sam-jackson-closes/2920728
Thanks to supporting artists, Paul Roustan and Robin Barcus, for their help body painting the lovely models.
So what drives Pashur? His website states: “The artist in me wanted to create unique works of art involving the beauty of the human form thus I chose body painting. Using the human form as a canvas to create elaborate works with color, design and movement is very exciting. They say watching paint dry is dull, however with a human being as your canvas the phrase takes a whole new turn. My artwork comes alive on canvas that is alive. My art lives and breathes… literally. How many artists can truly say that?
Check out Pashur’s website or his myspace page an enjoy.
